A factory pulls a few pieces from a batch, checks those, and assumes the rest are fine. We do something slower and more old-fashioned: every single GIGIWARM garment is inspected by hand before it leaves our factory.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is not a marketing line. It is one of the eight in-house steps our Puyuan factory runs for every order, and it is the reason we keep all production under our own roof instead of sending work out to other workshops.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where Inspection Sits in the Process<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our factory in Puyuan, which has been developing and making clothing since 2014, runs eight steps entirely in-house: knitting, dyeing and setting, cutting, sewing, finishing, full inspection, batch testing, and packing. Nothing is outsourced along the way.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That order matters. Inspection comes after sewing and finishing, when the garment is essentially complete, and before batch testing and packing. In other words, the individual check happens before the batch-level tests, and both happen before anything is packed for shipping. A garment is not packed first and checked later. It is checked, then tested as part of its batch, then packed.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keeping all eight steps in one factory makes this possible. When knitting, cutting, and sewing happen in the same building, an inspector who spots a recurring issue can walk it back to the step that caused it, rather than filing a report to a supplier in another town.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What an Inspector Actually Looks For<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A hand inspection covers four things: appearance, loose threads, size, and flaws. Each sounds simple. Together, they catch most of what makes a garment feel cheap or disappointing on arrival.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Appearance means the garment looks the way it was designed to look \u2014 the embroidery sits where it should, the pattern lines up, the color is even. Loose threads are exactly what they sound like: threads left over from sewing that should have been trimmed, not left for the customer to find. Size means the finished piece measures as intended, not just close enough. And flaws covers the rest: a snag, a stain, a seam that is not sitting right.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">None of this requires special equipment. It requires time, light, and a person who is paid to look carefully and say no when something is not right. That is the whole point: a machine can measure a seam, but a person notices when a garment simply does not look like it should.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inspection Is Not the Same as Batch Testing<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is easy to confuse the two, so it is worth separating them. Hand inspection checks each individual piece. Batch testing checks the fabric and the production batch as a whole.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every batch at GIGIWARM is third-party tested for pilling, colorfastness, formaldehyde, pH, and banned azo dyes. That testing answers a different question: is this batch of fabric safe and up to standard? Hand inspection answers the question the customer actually asks when they open the box: is this particular garment well made?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You need both. Batch testing without individual inspection can pass a batch and still ship a piece with a loose thread. Individual inspection without batch testing can ship a perfect-looking garment made from fabric that was never verified. We do both, in that order, before packing.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Hand Inspection Still Matters for Half-Velvet<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our fabric, Cloud Knit, is a 100% polyester half-velvet with a short, dense, matte pile. It is developed to resist pilling and to shed less, with anti-static yarn woven into the yarn rather than sprayed on the surface. Those qualities are built into the yarn over dozens of sample rounds \u2014 but a good yarn can still be let down by a rushed seam or a missed trim.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is why the final look and feel of the garment still comes down to a person handling it. The pile should look even. The ribbed trims should sit flat. The embroidery \u2014 a strawberry, a teddy bear, a black cat \u2014 should be clean and complete. Those are things you notice by holding the piece, not by reading a test report.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is also why we describe our work as craft-focused rather than fast.
