Inside Our Puyuan Factory: From Yarn to Your Door

Most loungewear brands will never show you where their clothes are made. We will — because the factory is the whole point of GIGIWARM.
Where Puyuan is, and why it matters
Puyuan is a town in Tongxiang, Zhejiang — one of China’s historic knitwear centers. We started here in 2014, researching and developing garments before we ever sold a single piece under our own name. Being here means our yarn suppliers, dye houses, and machine technicians are neighbors, not vendors across an ocean. When a knit needs adjusting, the feedback loop is hours, not weeks.
The eight stages, all under one roof
Every GIGIWARM piece passes through eight in-house stages — no outsourced assembly: 1) Knitting — our Cloud Knit fabric knitted on our own machines. 2) Dyeing and setting — color and heat-setting in-house. 3) Cutting — to spec, checked against the approved sample. 4) Sewing — by teams who sew the same silhouettes every day. 5) Garment finishing — trimming, pressing, embroidery, appliqué. 6) Inspection — every finished garment manually inspected. 7) Batch testing — third-party testing every batch: Class A textile safety, pilling, colorfastness, banned azo dyes. 8) Packing — dispatched from No. 689 Hengxing Road, Puyuan Town.
Five million sets a year move through these stages.
Every piece inspected
The step we’re proudest of is also the least scalable: a person looks at every single garment before it ships. It’s slow. It’s also why our defect rate stays where it is.
Why factory-direct changes the price
A typical $158 pajama set passes through an agent, an importer, a brand markup, and a retailer markup. We sell the set we make, from the factory that made it. The $158 pays for yarn, knitting, testing, and inspection — not three layers of middlemen.
FAQ
Where are GIGIWARM products made? In our own factory in Puyuan Town, Tongxiang, Zhejiang, China. Knitting through packing all happen in-house.
What does “five million sets a year” mean for quality? Volume funds the unglamorous parts: incoming material sampling, first-piece approval, in-process checks, third-party batch testing. Scale pays for the quality program.
