Caring for Plush Loungewear Starts with the Label

A soft pajama set should be easy to enjoy. Before the first wash, take a moment to check the care label sewn into your garment. A general fabric name does not tell you everything about how a finished piece should be cleaned.

Check the whole garment, not just the fibre

GIGIWARM Cloud Knit, also described as Half Velvet or half fleece, uses 100% polyester yarn. The finished garment can also include printed details, embroidery, buttons, elastic and other trims. Those details matter when choosing how to wash and dry it. Use the instructions on the particular garment rather than copying the routine for a different pajama set.

Read the label before selecting a wash cycle

Check what the label says about washing, drying, bleaching and ironing. Do not assume that a setting is suitable simply because another polyester item can tolerate it. Keep the label attached and take a clear photo so you can refer to it later.

If the instructions are missing, illegible or unclear, pause before washing. Send our team a photo of the label and a link to the product. This gives us the information needed to check the exact style instead of guessing from its colour or pattern.

Give details some attention

Before cleaning, look at the cuffs, waistband, pockets, fastenings and decorated areas. Empty the pockets and check whether anything needs attention. If you notice a fault on a newly received item, contact us with clear photographs before trying to repair it or treating it with an unfamiliar product.

Let the label guide drying and ironing too

Washing is only part of the routine. Follow the garment’s own instructions for drying and ironing, including any restrictions. A routine that works for a plain T-shirt may not be appropriate for a plush surface or a decorated panel.
